VACCINATION FOR AFRICA

As a third wave of COVID-19 spreads across the continent, less than 2% of the African population has received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This situation is particularly alarming.

ALIMA (The Alliance for International Medical Action) has launched an appeal to accelerate vaccination against COVID-19 in Africa.
According to the World Health Organization, the third wave currently sweeping the African continent has now surpassed the peak of the second wave in early 2021, with cases rising in 25 African countries and the Delta variant, reputed to be one of the most contagious to date, spreading rapidly.

Thanks to international aid, millions of vaccines have arrived in Africa. However, without additional doses, qualified staff, medical equipment and a proper cold chain, these vaccines will be useless.

We need more resources and vaccines to accelerate vaccination campaigns and reach the greatest number of people, especially the most vulnerable.

Our field teams are calling for action. Watch here:

A donation of $120 will vaccinate 10 people.

I WANT TO DONATE

Take action now against COVID-19 and help get fair and equal access to vaccines for everyone.
