ALIMA UK’S
BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

ALIMA UK and The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA) are both non-profit humanitarian organizations whose mandate is to provide medical relief in emergency situations and medical crises.

 

ALIMA UK is an independent entity but shares the same philosophy and mission as ALIMA, and works towards the same goals. ALIMA UK was created in November 2017 and is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO) under the 2011 Charities Act.

GUILLAUME LE DUC

TRUSTEE

Guillaume Le Duc is ALIMA’s Europe Director, based in Paris since 2016. As a founding member of ALIMA, he worked as a Program Manager in Niger, Haiti, Chad, and DR Congo from 2010 – 2014, before taking on the role of the Director of the Communications and Development department. Guillaume first began his career in humanitarian aid in the communications department of Doctors Without Borders in New York, followed by Project Coordinator and Head of Mission in various countries. He is a graduate of the ESCP (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris), and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).

ALEXANDER BOOTH

Alexander Booth is an Associate Managing Director at Kroll, the world’s leading intelligence and investigations firm. Alexander is dually located in London and Nairobi and coordinates Kroll’s work in Africa. His team advises government agencies, financial institutions, and large corporations on a wide range of commercial opportunities and sensitive challenges across the continent. These have included mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, regional entry strategies, reputational issues, dispute situations, asset recoveries, and investigations into complex fraud and corruption.

NIKKI BLACKWELL

TRUSTEE

Nikki Blackwell is an Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Queensland. She works part time as an intensive care specialist at the Prince Charles hospital. Nikki previously worked for Doctors Without Borders  for several years before co-founding ALIMA with a small group of colleagues.Nikki was the director of medicine and research for ALIMA from 2009-2013 and remains actively involved. She has also contributed in transforming our response to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa in 2014 into the ground-breaking, high-quality care, which we are now able to provide during emergency Ebola outbreaks.

STEPHANE EPIN

TRUSTEE

Stéphane Epin is a Partner at Astorg, which he joined in 2010 and is a member of the Investment Team and the Investment Committee. Prior to this, Stéphane was an Investment Director with Natixis Private Equity in Paris where he led several LBO transactions in the industrial and B2B services areas. Before joining Natixis, he spent two years with the Transaction Advisory Services team of Ernst & Young, working on financial due diligence assignments on behalf of several private equity firms. Stéphane is a graduate from ESSEC.
