“I Survived Ebola”

Since an outbreak of Ebola was declared on August 1, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s North Kivu and Ituri provinces, ALIMA has been caring for patients at our treatment center in the city of Beni. While Ebola can have a very high mortality rate, with early treatment, it is possible to be cured. Here is the story of one survivor from Beni, Roger Mohindo, who was cared for in the CUBE a biosecure emergency care unit for outbreaks of highly-infectious diseases.
