Rigorous management for lasting impact
To uphold your trust, we implement rigorous measures to ensure responsible management. Our accounts are audited annually by an independent Statutory Auditor, and regular audits are conducted by partners such as the European Commission, ECHO, USAID, the French government, and UN agencies.
These measures guarantee that funds are used efficiently and transparently, with a minimal level of ineligible spending, in line with international standards.
ALIMA UK is part of an international umbrella organisation, The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA), which carries out medical and humanitarian activities across Sub-Saharan Africa.
ALIMA UK was founded to support the medical programmes ALIMA provides through funding, partnerships and collaboration from within the UK. In doing so, ALIMA UK is helping to provide high-quality, free healthcare to some of the world’s most disadvantaged populations, particularly those affected by conflict, natural disasters and epidemics.

To uphold your trust, ALIMA UK ensures robust financial controls and transparency by complying with UK charity regulations.
Our financial statements are independently examined by a qualified member of the ICAEW, in accordance with the Charities Act 2011.
Our accounts are prepared using the Financial Reporting Standard (FRS 102) to provide a true and fair view, aligning with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Our latest independent examination confirmed that our records are properly maintained, comply with legal requirements, and present an accurate financial picture, reinforcing our commitment to accountability and good governance.
Restricted donations are transferred to ALIMA in full as per the grant agreements with our supporters.
These measures guarantee that funds are used efficiently and transparently, with a minimal level of ineligible spending, in line with international standards.
