In Port-au-Prince, Marc Deverson Beauvoir, a health promotion supervisor with ALIMA, coordinates the community health workers who connect medical teams with residents, a key role in bringing care closer to communities. Drawing on his experience, he speaks to the importance of this connection with communities and its concrete impact on patients’ lives.
Thanks to financial support from the European Union (ECHO) and the Crisis and Support Centre (CDCS) of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), ALIMA is now a key health actor, working as close as possible to communities that often lack access to care.
