In Hodh El Chargui, in eastern Mauritania, access to healthcare remains very difficult for the most isolated populations.
At the Aghor site, home to more than 16,000 Malian refugees, ALIMA’s teams have regularly run a mobile clinic since March 2023. Free medical consultations, treatment of malnutrition in children under five, prenatal follow-up, and vaccination: the teams travel directly to the population to provide the care they need.
For many people living in Aghor, this mobile clinic is often the only way to access care. Without it, thousands of refugees, already highly vulnerable, would have no access to healthcare.
Come along with ALIMA’s team on this mobile clinic.
This mobile clinic is made possible thanks to the support of the Crisis and Support Center (CDCS) and the French Embassy in Mauritania.
