At ALIMA, we are committed to sustainably transforming humanitarian action by responding to crises, training the talents of tomorrow, and advancing medical innovation.
Our teams on the ground often work in remote, underserved areas, where help is most needed.
Some crises, due to a lack of visibility, remain underfunded and overlooked. To address this, private funding plays an essential role. Diversifying our financial sources allows us to respond more quickly when deploying teams in emergency situations, fund research on neglected diseases, and strengthen the skills of local actors.
Three Strategic Initiatives to Strengthen Humanitarian Action
Emergency Fund
Goal: Provide a rapid response to humanitarian crises.
This fund enables the immediate deployment of medical aid in critical situations and ensures ongoing support to meet emerging needs.
Humanitarian Talent Development Fund
Goal: Train the next generation of doctors in Africa.

Research and Innovation Fund
Goal: Develop innovative solutions for humanitarian crises.
This fund finances clinical and operational research, along with the development of equipment and technologies adapted to humanitarian needs.
The Key Role of the Campaign Committee
The Campaign Committee is the driving force behind ALIMA’s private fundraising efforts in Europe, comprising prominent figures from both the private and public sectors. Its mission? To strengthen private fundraising and boost ALIMA’s visibility.
- Strategic support: Assisting ALIMA’s fundraising team in achieving its fundraising goals.
- Donor engagement: Engaging existing donors and recruiting new major donors.
- Visibility and awareness: Supporting communication efforts, through events, press releases, and advocacy initiatives.
