In Ethiopia, climate disruption is pushing care out of reach
In the south of Ethiopia, children suffering from malnutrition tend to live several hours’ walk from the healthcare they need. ALIMA brings care closer to these pastoralist communities, whose way of life has been upended by a changing climate.

NutriVax in Nigeria: Nutritional Supplement Doubles Children’s Odds of Vaccination
In Yobe State, northeastern Nigeria, the NutriVax clinical trial has just shown that co-delivering a nutritional supplement during immunization activities at health centers substantially increases children’s vaccination coverage. These results, highly promising for reducing child mortality in the most fragile settings, have been published in the journal Nature Medicine.
In Chad, Plastic Bags Turned Into Bricks | Plastik ALIMA Project (Video)
In Chad, empty sachets from nutritional products are collected at health centers and then transformed into bricks by RECYDEP, ALIMA’s local partner. Through the PLASTIK project, this plastic waste is given a second life.
