Carlotta PIANIGIANI, emergencies & openings coordinator for ALIMA, named in #TIME100 Health 2024

Press release

Paris, May 2, 2024 – TIME has named Carlotta Pianigiani, Emergency & Openings Coordinator, in the TIME100 Health list for 2024 honoring 100 people who have had the biggest impact in healthcare this year. The full list will be featured in the May 13 issue of TIME, and is available online now at time.com/time100health.

The list recognizes the impact, innovation and achievements of the world’s most influential people in healthcare.

“In Haiti, the security context makes it very difficult to bring essential health services to the population. Through Carlotta Pianigiani, this nomination recognizes the daily work of all our teams in the field, in Haiti and elsewhere, to ensure that the most vulnerable populations have access to quality healthcare. We are proud to see ALIMA’s name featured in this list, alongside some of the great names in global healthcare.” Dr. Moumouni Kinda, Executive Director of ALIMA

At a time when the country is experiencing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises, Carlotta Pianigiani spent two months in Haiti as Emergency & Openings Coordinator, setting up ALIMA’s emergency response, one of the few medical humanitarian NGOs operating there.
