ALIMA’s board of directors

At ALIMA, the Board of Directors plays a key role in shaping our strategy. Composed of professionals from diverse fields (medicine, epidemiology, finance, administration, human resources, security), this council, elected by the General Assembly, embodies the expertise and dedication needed to tackle the most complex humanitarian challenges.

The Board of Directors consists of between 15 and 23 members. Among them, 12 to 15 members are elected by the General Assembly for a renewable term of up to three years. ALIMA’s partners hold 3 to 5 seats, and up to 3 additional members can be co-opted.

Following the General Assembly on October 19, 2024, a new president and three other board members were elected. A bureau was then elected during the Board of Directors meeting held the next day. This committed team is ready to support the executive team in strengthening our humanitarian impact and driving innovation in our field operations.

A Governance Based on Transparency

  • Regular Meetings: The Board of Directors meets at least four times a year to assess and adjust our strategic directions. The Board Bureau, which serves as the interface between the Board of Directors and the General Management, meets regularly to prepare the board’s deliberations and support the General Management.
  • Collective Decision-Making: Decisions are approved by a majority vote. In case of a tie, the president’s vote is decisive.
  • Strong Commitment: Board members are dedicated to actively participating in board meetings, as well as in various committees and commissions.

President
