MOUMOUNI KINDA
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Moumouni Kinda is ALIMA’s Chief Executive Officer. He joined ALIMA in 2012 as medical coordinator, and then was promoted to roles such as head of mission, medical desk supervisor, program manager and Director of Operations. Prior to ALIMA, he served as medical officer, hospital director and project coordinator of several operations in Haiti, Chad, and Democratic Republic of the Congo for Doctors Without Borders. Dr. Kinda is a licensed medical doctor and holds degrees from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Deakin University in Australia,IRIS (French Institute for International & Strategic Affairs) and the Cesag Business school in Senegal.
HENRI LEBLANC
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Henri Leblanc joined the organisation in 2019 after 15 years of experience in the management of public health and social protection programs. He previously held various positions as program manager for UNICEF between 2005 and 2014. For the last 5 years, he was the Executive Director of the NGO Amref Health Africa in France, leading the French-speaking sector of the organization, participating directly in the development of health programs and partnerships in Senegal, Ivory Coast and Guinea. Henri holds a Masters degree in International Relations and a Masters degree in Development, International Cooperation and Humanitarian Action.
LAMINE FALL
Chief Financial Officer
Lamine FALL holds a double Master’s degree in Business Administration and Corporate Finance and Strategic Orientations from ISG International Business School and brings 13 years of experience in financial management. He was head of financial control at Fresenius Medical Care and CFO of a division of the Orano Group (formerly Areva). He joined ALIMA as Chief Financial Officer in November 2023.
ALEXANDRE MAKOSZA
Human Resources Director
A law graduate, Alexandre has spent more than 20 years in the field of health, higher education and research in France and Hong Kong. He was in turn Director of Recruitment at a computer research institute, Director of Human Resources at the Ecole Polytechnique, Administrative Director of the Paris Diderot Faculty of Medicine and more recently Director of Human Resources at the Lycée Français International de Hong- Kong. Passionate about human relations and the societal impact of companies and organizations, Alexandre joined ALIMA in 2022.
DR RODRIGUE ALITANOU
Director of Operations
A qualified physician in nutritional epidemiology with a Master’s degree in international public health from the University of Bordeaux (ISPED), Dr. Rodrigue Alitanou joined ALIMA in 2012 and held several medical and managerial positions on health and nutrition, emergency, and operational research projects. In September 2023, he became Head of the Emergencies and Openings Department. Since June 2024, he has been ALIMA’s Director of Operations. Openings Department.
ALEXANDRA LAUER
Director of Development
With a Master’s degree and post-graduate diploma from renowned universities such as HEC, LMU, and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability, Alexandra has over twenty years of experience in leadership, project management, partnership management, economic development, and international communications. She has a proven track record in international organizations such as the UN. She joins ALIMA in 2023 as Director of Development.
MÉLANIE BLOND
Director of Communication
A graduate in Communications from the prestigious CELSA school with a Master’s degree in Political and Social Communication from the University of Paris I – Sorbonne, Mélanie has over 20 years of experience in communications, acquired in French public institutions, businesses, several communications and advertising agencies, as well as in national and local political cabinets. She was communications advisor to the French Minister of Health between 2010 and 2012. In 2023, she joined ALIMA as Communication Director.
CHARLIE KUNZER
Executive Director of ALIMA USA
Charlie Kunzer oversees ALIMA USA as Executive Director based in New York. She was instrumental in the opening of the ALIMA USA office and has been developing the fundraising department there since 2015. She began her career at JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, then at the Science Museum in London before holding several development positions for more than 10 years with Doctors Without Borders USA in New York. Charlie Kunzer holds bachelor’s degrees with Honors in International Relations and Modern History from the University of Westminster, London.
DR AHMAD AG MOHAMED ALY
Program Manager
With a medical degree and a certificate in tropical medicine, Dr. Ahmad Ag Mohamed Aly has been working in the humanitarian sector for over 15 years. He has progressively held a variety of humanitarian field positions in organizations such as Doctors of the World, Doctors Without Borders, and ALIMA. Today, Dr. Ahmad Ag Mohamed Aly oversees the Cameroon, Niger, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Chad programs.
DR CHARLES TEHOUA
Program Medical Manager
A qualified doctor of medicine, , Dr. Charles Tehoua specializes in public health, particularly in biomedical research methodology (University of Paris XI). He joined ALIMA in 2017 as project coordinator in Bimbo, CAR. He was medical coordinator in Guinea, then in the Emergency and Country Openings department, before becoming program medical manager for Chad, Niger, DRC and Cameroon in 2022.
DR OUMAROU MAIDADJI
Program Manager
Dr. Oumarou Maidaji is ALIMA’s Program Manager for Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, South Sudan and the Central African Republic. Before taking on this role, he oversaw ALIMA’s programs in Chad, DR Congo, Cameroon and Niger, and supervised the medical interventions of the NGO BEFEN, ALIMA’s local partner in Niger. Before participating in the launch of ALIMA’s operations when it was created in 2009, Dr. Oumarou began his humanitarian career in 2006 in Niger with Doctors Without Borders. With a degree in public health, he is a graduate of Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey, Niger. Oumarou also studied at CESAG (African Center for Specialized Studies in Management) and at ISPED in Bordeaux.
DR RODRIGUE ILBOUDO
Program Medical Manager
Rodrigue, a doctor from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and a graduate of several institutions including the Institute of Public Health Epidemiology and Development of the University of Bordeaux (ISPED), notably in humanitarian action, nutrition, clinical research and epidemiology, joined ALIMA in 2014 as project coordinator. He then successively held the positions of medical coordinator and head of mission between 2014 and 2021. Currently, Dr. Rodrique is the Medical Officer for Desk 2 in charge of Mali, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, and Mauritania.
MICHELLE CHOUINARD
Program Manager
Michelle, who holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Ottawa in Canada, worked from 2005 to 2019 with Médecins Sans Frontières as a Mental Health Specialist, Project Coordinator and Head of Mission, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Haiti, Nigeria, and the Central African Republic. Michelle joined ALIMA in 2020 as Ebola Emergency Coordinator in the DRC, and later served as Head of Mission. Currently, Michelle is the Head of Programs for Guinea, Nigeria and South Sudan, based in Dakar.
DR JEAN PAUL DE BRUYNE MUSHENVULA
Program Medical Manager
Dr. Jean Paul de Bruyne Mushenvula currently leads ALIMA’s programs in Nigeria. Before joining ALIMA, he worked for five years in the DRC Ministry of Health and four years in the medical coordination unit of Doctor Without Borders. Since joining ALIMA in 2014, Dr. Jean Paul has held the positions of Medical Officer, Project Coordinator, Medical Coordinator and Head of Mission in countries such as Mali, Central African Republic and Nigeria. He is a graduate of the University of Kinshasa.
DR PAPYS LAME
Head of Medical Service
Dr. Papys Lame is head of ALIMA’S Medical Service. He previously worked as the Medical Manager of ALIMA’s Emergency Response and Country Opening department for more than 3 years. He first joined ALIMA in 2015 after 7 years of experience in epidemic response and emergency management with Doctors Without Borders. Before taking on his current role at ALIMA, Dr. Papys previously held the position of Medical Coordinator in DR Congo and Cameroon. He holds a master’s degree in Public Health from ISPED of Bordeaux.
DR SUSAN SHEPHERD
Senior Advisor Paediatrics and Research
Dr. Susan Shepherd is a senior advisor for ALIMA’s pediatrics and research programs. A licensed pediatrician, she joined ALIMA in 2013 to develop new strategies for the care of malnourished children. A specialist in child malnutrition for more than 10 years, she has also worked with the World Food Programme and Doctors Without Borders in many countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
MÉLANIE TARABBO
Operational Medical Manager
Mélanie Tarabbo is the Operational Medical Manager within ALIMA’s innovation unit and works as well to support the Emergency Response service. A registered nurse in France, she joined the organisation in 2010 to support the response to the cholera outbreak in Haiti. She then carried out several missions, including malnutrition, pediatric care and Ebola response, in the field throughout Africa, and participated in the development of the CUBE (Biosecure Emergency Care Unit for Epidemics).

Logisitics and Supply Manager

CARLOTA RUIZ
Head of Donors Services
Carlota Ruiz has held the position of Head of Donor Services since 2019. After joining ALIMA in 2015, she held several positions in the donor department, through which she contributed to the development of new partnerships with institutional donors. Carlota Ruiz holds graduate degrees in Anthropology and International Development from Smith College (USA).
WORE TAOKREO
Operational Finance Manager
With a Master’s degree in Audit and Financial Management, Wore worked with several international NGOs before joining ALIMA in 2012. He held the position of Finance and HR Coordinator in the DRC, followed by similar positions in Chad, Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea. In 2016, Wore joined the Dakar operational HQ as Financial and HR Advisor for Guinea, and then managed research funding. In 2023, he became ALIMA’s Operational Finance Manager.
KATIE FALL
Accounting Manager
Katie is a graduate of the French business schools ESI 3A and ESG. After 5 years of experience in an accounting firm, she joined the SOS GROUP in 2014 as Accounting Manager and later Accounting Director. In 2021, she joined ALIMA in Dakar as Accounting Manager.
SOPHIE HURNDALL
Head of Development ALIMA UK
Sophie has worked in international development, fundraising and advocacy for 20 years. She is particularly passionate about building lasting and transformational relationships with a charity’s most strategic supporters – from philanthropists to politicians and VIP celebrities. Sophie also has a strong background as a media spokesperson, having won the EMMA Public Personality of the Year award, while helping to protect the rights of civilians in war zones. Since May 2022 Sophie has held the position of UK Development Manager.
MACTAR SYLLA
Public Fundraising Manager
After obtaining a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Mactar worked for over 10 years in the development of relationship marketing strategies both at web and advertising agencies, including NetBooster, Wengo (Vivendi group) and Viadeo. In 2017, he joined ALIMA as Public Fundraising Manager.
Luiza SALAZAR ANDRIOTTI
Major Gifts and Partnerships Manager
Luiza has a master’s degree in International Relations from the Paris-Sorbonne University and another in Cooperation and Development from the Institut des Hautes Études de l’Amérique latine. Since 2020, she has held various roles within the Major Donors department and contributed to the development of private fundraising in Europe. Luiza is now Head of Major Donors and Partnerships within the Development Department.
Katherine LEACH
Senior Trusts Fundraising Manager
Katherine has worked in international development, fundraising and communications for over 10 years, building strategic partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate partners and philanthropists. She joined ALIMA UK as Senior Trust Fundraising Manager in June 2023 from Dig Deep (Africa), where she was part of the senior management team managing the long-term strategic direction of the organisation. Prior to that, she established highly successful trust fundraising programmes for some of the leading international development and medical charities in the UK, including Tommy’s, MSF and WaterAid.
FATOU DIOUF
Recruitment and Mobility Development Officer
Fatou graduated with a Master in Management and Business Development from the Weller International Business School in Paris. She has studied in India, Paris, New York and Shanghai. Fatou worked for several recruitment agencies specialized in headhunting for the French public and para-public sectors, where she focused on recruiting in health and climate change. In 2017 she joined the regional office of Médecins sans Frontières in Dakar (Senegal) as Recruitment and HR Marketing Officer. In 2019, she joined ALIMA as Recruitment and Talent Development Officer and she has been in charge of the Recruitment and Mobility Department since 2021.
DYÉ SOW
Personel Administration Manager
Dyé Sow joined ALIMA in June 2020 as Head of Personnel Administration. Originally from Senegal, Dyé returned to her home country in 2015 after more than 15 years in France, where she worked as a Human Resource Generalist after earning her Masters 2 degree in Human Resources Engineering from the ISG (Institut Superieur de Gestion) and ISEFAC (Institut supérieur européen de formation par l’action) business schools in Paris. Before joining ALIMA, she held various positions in Senegal within the financial inclusion and industrial equipment sectors.
