Rumors, misinformation, geographical distance, lack of infrastructure or human resources… The challenges to COVID-19 vaccination are considerable in certain remote areas of the African continent. However, ALIMA teams have never given up, and have shown resourcefulness and perseverance in carrying out their mission.

In the spring of 2021, as soon as vaccines were available, ALIMA quickly partnered with the health authorities in eight of the countries where we work to implement COVID-19 vaccination campaigns. Despite the many challenges, our teams were able to distribute nearly two million doses to some of the most vulnerable people in these countries.

Demonstrate adaptability

After over a year of mobilization against the COVID-19 pandemic, this quiz by ALIMA, “The Ultimate Challenge” showcases our work. This fun and instructive quiz invites people to take the best decisions possible about the different challenges of a vaccination campaign in Africa, and more precisely in Mauritania. Logistics, communication, transport… several topics are discussed and explained through a variety of questions.

This quiz is also complemented by a digital photo exhibition, which illustrates ALIMA’s vaccination activities in the field with descriptive texts, testimonials and photos.
